Uncalibrated and Self-calibrated Cameras
نویسنده
چکیده
The aim of the project is to provide a comprehensive survey on the issue of the 3D scene reconstruction from 2D self-calibrated and totally uncalibrated camera views. Image reconstruction is a very important area in the field of computer vision, robotics, and image processing, Several approaches has been suggested and tested. This project will survey reconstruction methods for multiple motion scenes containing multiple objects from uncalibrated views. In these cases, neither camera motion, nor the camera settings have to be known. The obtained 3D model is a scaled version of the original object, and the surface texture is obtained from the image sequence as well.

A Canonic Framework for Sequences of Images: Similarities between Calibrated and Uncalibrated Case
Invariance has become increasingly important in computer vision. One type of invariance is viewpoint invariance, i.e. properties of viewed objects that are invariant under camera motion. Another important concept is object invariance, i.e. properties of the image plane that only depend on motion and not on the viewed objects. The epipolar constraint is such an example. This paper deals with the...
متن کاملCamera Calibration Using Line Correspondences
In this paper, a method of determining the essential matrix for uncalibrated cameras is given, based on line matches in three images. The three cameras may have different unknown calibrations, and the essential matrices corresponding to each of the three pairs of cameras may be determined. Determination of the essential matrix for uncalibrated cameras is important, forming the basis for many al...

This paper deals with the problem of reconstructing the locations of ve points in space from two diierent images taken by calibrated cameras. Equivalently the problem can be formulated as nding the possible relative locations and orientations, in three-dimensional Euclidean space, of two labeled stars, of ve lines each, such that corresponding lines intersect. The problem was rst treated by Kru...
متن کاملEffective and efficient 3D object location using automatic camera calibration
Locating an object is an essential work in a robot system. In this paper, we present a method designed for the effective and efficient object location using the stereo vision. The 2D image information from the uncalibrated stereo cameras is used firstly to control the robot hand to approach the target object. Subsequently, the cameras are calibrated automatically using the information from the ...
متن کاملOn Aligning Sets of Points Reconstructed from Uncalibrated Affine Cameras
The reconstruction of rigid scenes from multiple images is a central topic in computer vision. Approaches merging partial 3D models in a hierarchical manner have proven the most effective to deal with large image sequences. One of the key building blocks of these hierarchical approaches is the alignment of two partial 3D models by computing a 3D transformation. This problem has been well-studie...
